The Angus Suttor Memorial Driving Day was held on Saturday 23 May 2015 gave 60 vision-impaired people the chance to drive cars at Sydney Motorsport Park in Eastern Creek. The day was organised by Angus Suttor's family and friends in partnership with Vision Australia and provides people who are blind or have low vision the chance to get behind the wheel and experience driving, in most cases for the first time.
Angus Suttor had a rare condition called Von Recklinghausen’s and became blind at the age of 10. He also had a hearing impairment, loved motorsports and followed the V8’s religiously. Each year he attended the 'In the Driver's Seat' event held in Melbourne and it was his dream to have a similar day in Sydney. Sadly, Angus passed away in May 2013.
The day was organised by sisters Katelyn and Emma in memory of thier brother Angus Suttor.
