The Corvettes Down Under Car Club hosted the Corvette Classic in Pelican Park, Clontaff on Sunday 19 July 2015. The Club had 25 of their Corvettes along in support making a total of approximately 70 cars on display for the day.
The first group of cars from the Corvettes Down Under Car Club met at the Hyperdome and cruised north to meet the second contingent at Nudgee. Cars numbered 14 by this stage but one car suffered a broken clutch linkage at Nudgee and was unable to take further part in the activities. A couple of club members remained with the broken Vette until it was clear there would be no easy fix and the tilt tray was called before joining the group in Pelican Park on the waterfront at Clontarf.
Club members all parked together and caught up with a couple of early bird attendees before the customary catch up with our Down Under friends and a little pre-judging detailing. Grey clouds threatened showers a few times but the breeze soon blew them away to reveal a nice warm day.
Everyone enjoyed a relaxing day catching up, wood fired pizzas, gourmet hot dogs and fresh coffee.
(Our thanks to the Queensland Corvette Club Inc of Australia for the pics).
