The Mid - Winter Wander attracted over 600 vehicles and was held on Sunday 19 June 2011 with a 9am start at the Stockland Centre Glendale The scenic route covered 80 kilometres through Edgeworth, Wakefield, Freemans Waterhole and along Sandy Creek Road to Millfield, back through Bellbird, Cessnock and along the Mount View Road to Hunter Valley Gardens at Pokolbin. The Mid-Winter Wander organised by the Newcastle Restored Vehicle Club is the second largest mobile event in Australia behind Adelaide's Bay to Birdwood Rally.
