|A 66 year old Texan man has recovered his stolen 1967 Austin Healey after finding the roadster for sale on EBay in the USA.
Robert Russell who now lives in Texas had his Austin Healey stolen from his Philadelphia residence in 1970.
The Healey had sentimental value for him, being stolen the morning after he took his future wife out for one of their first dates together.
Russell spent the fnext 42 years trying to find his Healey and in recent times regularly searched internet car sites in the hope that it would finally appear for sale somewhere.
He finally spotted an Austin Healey that matched his car on EBay a couple of weeks ago and immediately contacted the seller, a Beverly Hills car dealership in California.
The Healeys ID numbers matched his stolen vehicle from 1970 and the LA police recovered the Healey and returned it to Russell who had driven up from Texas with his wife to be re-united with his car.
The Healey is only in fair condition and will require some TLC but Russell is no doubt looking forward to getting the car back in perfect working order.
