|Note: my selection of the cars are in no particular order of preference.
CAR NO 1:
I always admire car enthusiasts who are happy to make a strong statement with their vehicles. This nicely prepared 1951 Ford F Series pickup does exactly that and in white is a stand-out in any carpark.
This F Series was on display at Cost's BBQ which is annual event on the last Saturday in May when car enthusiasts in the greater Melbourne region brave the cold winter winds and head to Bacchus Marsh. This annual get-together hosted by Steve Costa kicked off some time back as a small gathering of mates having a few beers and talking all things cars and rods, but has turned into a large affair.
CAR NO 2:
Another car that will stand-out in a carpark is this early fifties Ford Mercury with some great flamed pinstriping.....just fantastic !!!!
Imagine quietly going down to the local shops in this beast on a Saturday morning to pick-up some milk and bread and the looks you would get as you arrived..........that would be so much fun !!!!!!
CAR NO 3:
Pic of this nicely restored 6 wheel equipped sedan was taken at the Drive Back in Time held over the weekend of 3-4 May 2014 and hosted by the Beechworth Old Cranks Motor Club Inc. It was a static display of cars and engines or motors that are more than 25 years old with over a 150 cars.
Not sure what make and model this sedan is but suffice to say that it was surely a "gentlemans car" in its day.
When I see a vehicle of this style I think exactly that word "Style" and images of wealth and grandeur come to mind. Just the perfect vehicle for a Sunday country drive with close friends to have a picnic with a nice bottle of wine next to a bubbling brook he thinks
CAR NO 4:
The pic of this 70's American coupe was taken at the weekend get together on 16 - 18 May this year for the American Muscle Car Club, 60's Muscle Car Club of Victoria and the American Car Club ACT held in the Albury district.
Not sure of the make and model of the coupe.............maybe a Dodge ??
This shot just exudes the word "MUSCLE CAR"
CAR NO 5:
Continuing on with the theme of American muscle cars is this circa 1968 black Chevrolet Camaro that was at the Muscle & Chrome nostalgia drag racing meet held at the Kwinana Motorplex during May. These two door coupe's are fetching around the 40K mark these days and have always been an alternative for a buyer without Ford DNA considering the purchase of a Mustang from the same era.
