FORD STOPPING PRODUCTION OF SEDANS IN THE USA

Ford have announced that by 2020, almost 90 percent of the Ford portfolio in North America will be trucks, utilities and commercial vehicles. That have announced that declining consumer demand and product profitability will see the company stop their investment in traditional Ford sedans for North America.

Over the next few years, the Ford car portfolio in North America will transition to two vehicles being the selling Mustang and the all new Focus Active crossover which arrives next year.

Ford currently offers six sedans and coupes in North America: the Taurus, Fiesta, Fusion, Focus, C-Max and the Mustang.

There is also speculation that the iconic Lincoln sedans will also disappear from the Ford family of cars.
