Shortage of some new cars

Ford production plants in Thailand have also been affected by forced close-downs

Both Ford Ranger factories in Thailand have now re-started production after being closed for more than a month

Stock of the Ford Ranger are starting to run low in Australia with dealers not expecting new stock into their showrooms before July which will impact Ford dealers end-of-financial-year sales.

Production has also re-started for Toyota at their Samrong and Banpho plants in Thailand iafter a one-month break. Two factories in Thailand producing the Hi-Lux ute have started production again after closing from 7 April as a result of the impact of the coronavirus.
