Mitsubishi Triton updated models coming mid year

The 2022 Mitsubishi Triton will arrive into local showrooms in the middle of this year with improved specifications.

The updated Triton will come with a price rise with the 4x4 GLX Double Cab Chassis, GLX Single Cab Chassis and the GLX Club Cab Chassis all now $1000 dearer.

The GSR Double Cab Pick-Up will go on sale at $55,690 which is over $2,000 more expensive than the current model.

All Triton 4x4 variants are powered by Mitsubishi's 133kW/430Nm MIVEC 2.4-litre turbocharged diesel engine, which can be paired to either a six-speed manual or six-speed automatic transmission.

The GSR will now feature a Smartphone link Display Audio system with a Multi-Around Monitor that provides a 360-degree outside view from the cabin.

The Cab-Chassis and GLX pick-up models will come with the 7.0-inch MiDisplay infotainment system incorporating Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity.

The GLX Cab Chassis 4x2 manual model retains the 6.1-inch touchscreen Display Audio unit along with a CD player and two speakers.

Mitsubishi will offer 'interior option packs' for GLS dual-cab and Triton GSR models with the The GLS Deluxe package offering leather-appointed seat trim, heated front seats, powered driver’s seat adjustment, Multi-Around Monitor system and door trims with leather-appointed inserts.

The GSR Tan Orange Pack on the 2022 Triton combines orange highlights in the cabin with orange highlights on the leather-appointed seats, orange console box and orange stitching on the door trims, steering wheel, gear shifter and park brake.
