|Two Pontiac GTO's for the price of one:
Nick from Dream Cruise Classics from Detroit, Michigan in the USA has been in touch with me to advise that Australian buyers have the opportunity to purchase two 1968 Pontiac GTO's for the very attractive price of US$55,950.00 through his business which is the equivalent of around A$53,800.00 for two GTO's.
NICK IS OPEN TO REASONABLE OFFERS FOR THESE CARS SO PLEASE CONTACT HIM (see below for contact details)
At this time Nicks wants to sell both cars together for this competitive price into Australia.
Importantly Nicks price of US$55,590.00 for two GTO's includes shipping of the two vehicles to Australia in one container.
Nick has links to a reputable shipping company in the Detroit area that he regularly uses for other clients. He will place the two GTO's in a 40 foot container using this shipping company and Nick will personally supervise the packing of the vehicles to ensure the cars are securely packed. The container will then not be opened until it reaches the final destination in Australia. This is a much safer way to transport vehicles from the eastern seaboard of the USA.
I have enclosed a selection of pics (below) that show the excellent condition of both cars. Nick would of course welcome any independent inspection of both vehicles.
About Nick and Dream Cruise Classics:
I had the pleasure of meeting Nick last year at his premises in Detroit, Michigan during my visit to the Woodward Dream Cruise which attracts over 30,000 muscle cars, street rods, custom, collector and special interest vehicles to Detroit on the third Saturday in August. He was a very generous host for our tour of his facility and workshop.
Nick is a licensed 'boutique' used car dealer in the city of Detroit and I was impressed with the quality of the cars he was selling at that time and more so with his approach to business.
He specialises in classic and collector cars and takes great pride in ensuring the vintage, classic cars and collectable vehicles that he sells meet the exacting standards of his customers from all over the USA and overseas.
Nick works with his son (a qualified mechanic) from their fully equipped warehouse in the Detroit suburb of Shelby Township which would be best described as a low volume/high quality operation.
The Two cars:
1. One car is a 1968 GTO, all original, matching numbers, bench seats, original rebuilt 400 engine, perfect paint, underside, floors and paint solid, drum brakes, power steering, limited slip differential. Car runs and drives great.
Nick says that everything works on this GTO: radio, heater, lights, gages. New: carburetor, spark plugs, points, wires, springs, shocks, ball joints, tie rod ends, center link, idler arm, exhaust. He describes the GTO as a beautiful running and driving car with PHS Documentation. VIN VIN: 242378P240603.
The GTO had a frame up restoration completed in 2010. Underside, floors and sheet metal solid. Has power drum brakes, power steering, limited slip differential.
Nick describes this GTO as having perfect paint which is in the colour of Nightshade Green. This is the original factory rare color: paint looks dark gray and has a slight green tint in some lights.
2. The other car is also a 1968 GTO red with red buckets, his/her shifter, automatic transmission, original rebuilt 400 Engine. Paint is near perfect. Underside, floors and frame very solid. Sheet metal solid. Rust free car with Power drum brakes.
New Red Line Coker tires, P215-77R14. Hood tack works. All electrical, lights, heater, horn, etc functional. Aftermarket Kenwood AMM/FM/CD radio in glove box. Original AM radio in dash. Original A/C car with A/C compresor removed (comes with car). After market temp, oil and battery gages. Beautiful bucket seats and interior. Glass and trim very good and has Pontiac Historical Society (PHS) documentation and VIN 242378B131169. This GTO enjoyed a frame up restoration in 2008.
