Q2. Australian car manufacturers abandoned their high performance programs on the likes of the Ford GTHO following Government pressure. It is said that the ?Supercar Scare? was instigated by a newspaper article published on 25 June 1972, causing fear amongst consumers that car companies were making Australian roads more dangerous.
Which Australian newspaper published the article and can you name the motoring journalist who wrote the story ?
A. The Sydney Morning Herald on June 25, 1972 and the artcle was written by Evan Green.
Q3. The fitting of Seat Belts in motor vehicles first became a legal requirement in 1964 in which two Australian states.

Jeff,
I know the Model T was ahead of it's time but 1908 was the year the first T rolled off the assembly line! _________________ Mal

Spot on Ozzie 1908 was the first year of the "T". Unfortunately it all went down hill for em after that  |

Thanks for the correction guys.............it was a FORD vehicle pre-dating the T Model that was first seen in Australia in 1904.
