HISTORIC WINTON 2016 |

| The 40th Historic Winton will be held on the weekend of 28-29 May 2016 at Winton Motor Raceway, Benalla VIC.
2016 will again see us celebrate a number of milestones in the history of the automobile and the motorcycle and this is the area where we would like to put a call out to clubs and individuals, to display their cars at this unique event.
The celebrations at our 40th running of Historic Winton are as listed below:
110 years - Austin and Lagonda
100 years - Nash
90 years - Pontiac, Bugatti type 35, Daimler - Benz, Morris Oxford Flatnose and Chrysler Imperial
80 years - SS Jaguar 100, the first diesel powered car being Mercedes 260D, MG TA, BMW 328, Fiat Tropolino
80 years - Harley Knuckelhead
75 Year - American Jeep
70 years - Singer Gazelle, Cooper 500, Willys Jeep Station Wagon, Renault Dauphine, Triumph Roadster, Jowlet Bradford Van
70 years - Vespa
60 years - Berkley Sports, Holden FE, Austin A35, Morris Minor 1000 and Go Karts
50 years - Toyota Corolla, Chevrolet Camaro, Holden HR, Fiat Dino, XR Falcon, and Lotus Europa
Should any of the clubs representing any of the aforementioned marques be in a position to get a minimum of six (6) vehicles to attend the 40th running of Historic Winton, particularly on Sunday 29 May 2016, the Austin 7 Club Inc. would consider sending a quantity of free entry tickets to the event to be distributed as the club see fit.

Additionally, we are seeking , pre 1975 classic cars, motorcycles, historic commercial vehicles, veterans, vintage, sports, classics, hotrods, street machines, motorcycles, vintage Go Karts, vintage caravans and trophies will be awarded for vehicles of special interest.
Should you have a special interest vehicle, bike or alike, we would invite you to turn up and park in the spectator display area.

The Austin 7 Club Inc. is a small car club, both in numbers of members and the marques we choose to be custodians of.
For a car club of this nature to have the foresight to commence such an event and now to be celebrating such a milestone as the 40th running of this event is a fabulous achievement.
This event covers cars and bikes, including sidecars from the early 20's to the mid 80's on the race track, along with a display of veteran, vintage, classic and hot rod vehicles, as well as motor cycles and this year we will also have a steam display.
Planning for this event is still evolving as we work towards putting on an event that is unparalleled in the southern hemisphere while allowing our patrons a nostalgic look at racing as it used to be with the motorcycles and sidecars adding an "Only at Historic Winton Flavour".
Friday 27 May 2016 - Benalla & District Classic Car & Motorbike Tour
As part of Historic Winton weekend activities, join the Benalla & District Classic Car & Motorbike Tour assembling 9am on Friday 27 May 2016 in front of the Benalla Art Gallery, situated in the Benalla Botanical Gardens.
